Auto-blocking descender PETZL ID S

The I’D S automatic locking descander is designed mainly for high-altitude and difficult-to-access work. It is equipped with an ergonomic handle, through which the descent is easily controlled. The integrated anti-panic function and the thumb that locks the rope in the wrong position reduce the risk of accidents in cases of misuse. The AUTO-LOCK system allows easy positioning to the workplace without having to lock the handle by hand. When the rope is locked in the packer, it can be pulled without having to touch the handle. The movable side has a lock that allows the rope to be placed without detaching the device from the harness. I'D S is compatible with ropes with a diameter of 10 to 11.5 mm and allows work with loads up to 250 kg.

- when the rope is removed from the appliance, the handle automatically returns to its initial position, which reduces the risk of unintentional attachment when the appliance is worn attached to the harness

• Multifunctional use:

- when the rope is locked in the appliance, one can immediately start to pull it without having to activate the handle, this allows the pulley system to be able to turn or to make a short ascent on a rope easily.

- the movable jaw can be manipulated to pass an easy rope or to provide a partner who moves with a leading climbing technique

- the movable side can be fixed with a bolt so that the I’D S device can be used in an evacuation kit

- possibility to add additional friction when the device is open or closed for better control of the descent depending on the weight and diameter of the rope

• The friction zone of the rope is reinforced with a stainless steel plate to improve wear resistance
