Self-braking Descender PETZL Rig
Self-braking Descender RIG by Petzl is intended for professionals working with difficult access routes or rescue operations. With Descender RIG is working very easily and comfortably. It enables positioning in the work place and very easy locking of the detent by moving with the handle. Thanks to its innovative concept and small volume RIG is a simple and efficient alternative to traditional landing.

• On the movable side there is a lock that prevents the ejection of appliances and facilitates the laying of the rope and the passing through intermediate points
• Multifunctional handle, allowing for the situation:
- Release the rope and control the drop by holding the free end by hand
- blocking the rope when positioning without the need to secure the rope on the appliance
• Automatic grip return system to avoid the risk of unwanted triggering
• Position of the handle, which avoids the risk of hitching when the device is attached to the seat
• Removable roll to make the rope easier to rope (rope belly); in the case of polispas, it enables the system to be reversed (from pulling to downhill). The appliance can also be used for short rope climbs (adding FOOTPRO pedal and ASCENSION flap).
• The movable side can be fixed by a bolt (on the back of the appliance) so that the RIG appliance in the evacuation kit can be used.
• Use with ropes with a diameter of 10.5 to 11.5 mm.
